Wise Men from the east arrived in Jerusalem,
saying, "Where is He who has been
born King of the Jews? For we saw His
star in the east
and have come to worship Him.” They
said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea...”
And the star, which they had seen in the
east, went on before them
until it came and stood over the place
where the Child was.
They saw the Child with Mary His mother;
and they fell to the ground and worshiped
Him. Then, opening their treasures,
they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense,
and myrrh. Matthew

Faith and reason are like two wings on
which the human spirit rises to the
contemplation of truth; and God has placed
in the human heart a desire
to know the truth — in a word, to know
himself — so that,
by knowing and loving God, men and women
may also
come to the fullness of truth about themselves.
