I'm very happy you found my little corner of cyberspace. I hope you find something interesting here even though it is very much a work in progress. I'll get the boring biographical stuff out of the way here. If you really want to know who Chris Young is, you'll have to follow the links to other topical pages below. I'm 42 years old and work from home as a computer consultant and freelance writer. I attended Northwest High School and I have a B.S. in Computer Science from I.U.P.U.I. I'm single, straight, physically handicapped, born again Roman Catholic, liberal, Democrat, and I think O.J. was guilty. I like listening to Pink Floyd, Sting, Les Mis, Isao Tomita, Emerson/Lake/Palmer, Yes, Rick Wakeman and Bach. I read science fiction by Asimov, Clarke, Heinlein, Orson Scott Card, John Varley, Robert Silverberg and Spider Robinson. I watch CNN, all forms of Star Trek, Seinfeld, Letterman, Babylon 5 and every NASCAR, IndyCar and IRL race on TV. I live on the northwest side of Indianapolis just a few blocks from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Ray Tracing
"Ray tracing" is a method of generating realistic images from computer-modeled objects. I have written 3 books on ray tracing and am Team Coordinator for POV-Ray ray tracing software. This page tells about my books links to several really cool ray tracing sites.

Handicaps
I am confined to a motorized wheelchair by a type of Muscular Dystrophy. This page contains info about my handicap and my life. It includes two autobiographical magazine articles that were published in Indianapolis Monthly.
